Dainfern Country Club is my true golfing home.
Back in the day when I first started to play the game as a young teenager, I found myself playing at Fourways Golf Club in the school holidays.
At the time it was a municipal course that opened its doors to all who wished to play. I have some of my fondest golfing memories playing with the likes of Vincent Tshabalala, Moses Molefe and many other golfing greats.
The "brown cow" (Coca-Cola and milk) and a "caddie bun" at the clubhouse would see you still recover some change from a 50cent coin.
Fourways Golf Club then became Dainfern Country Club which at the time was the first golf estate to be developed in South Africa.
Gary Player proudly upgraded his original design of the Fourways Golf Club to compliment the desire of many to live on a brilliant golf course.
Today, the club proudly boasts a fully developed, premium housing estate, a proud membership and a world-class golfing experience that makes Dainfern Country Club one of South Africa's finest golfing destinations.
